This department supports the regulatory functions of the Casino Gaming Commission via the utilization of inspectors who police the casino floor with a view to ensuring compliance with the Casino Gaming Act 2010. The Department provides investigative and intelligence gathering support, to enable the Commission to effectively manage the Casino Gaming Industry.

Role of Inspectors

Inspectors may enter any casino at any time to inspect any accounts, documents, records or items to which any casino gaming or gaming equipment relates. For this section of the Act see Part iv sections 44-48.

An inspector may, during the course of an inspection, seize and remove any gaming equipment or article which is reasonably believed to be in contravention of any provision of the act.

Enforcement Action

An inspector may, as a result of an inspection, gather such documentary evidence to initiate an enforcement action against a casino operator or its employee.
